Goodbye, but not forgotten 2016/Auld Lang Syne.

Hi Friends,

Hope your holidays were wonderful. Mine were filled with merriment, so grateful for a slower week! I’m looking forward to tonight, 12/28, at The Grange, 6p-7:15p. We’ll say goodbye to 2016, but we're not to forget.


What’s ahead? Instead of the same old resolutions, let's think big!

What have you been dreaming about doing in 2017?

I pray it’s something exciting and new and out of your comfort zone, so it could only be from God!


Isaiah 43:19 ESV Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.


As this year comes to an end, let’s look back, before we move forward. 


First, carve out some time with God and your journal or pad and pen. 

Don’t be in a hurry, He wants to do this with you. Enjoy being in His presence. 

Review your year. I go back through my day timer, my journal, and my photos to help me remember. 

What went great, what did not? 


Second, celebrate the victories, give thanks.

Acknowledge the challenges, and give yourself space for grace.

What have you learned, what would you do different? 


Writing things down brings clarity.


Third, take a look at the list below. In 2017, is there one area you really want to see some change? Could you be ready to work on one thing in each category? You choose.

Explore the possibilities as if there were no limits.






Marriage or Relationship






Pay attention to your monkey mind, gremlins, aka negative self talk. 

Michel Hyatt says, “Cynicism is the self protective behavior that all of us use to keep from getting hurt or disappointed.”

Ouch, and true. We have a choice, stay comfortable, stay stuck, or learn, grow, and transform. 

Faith not fear. Faith not fear.

Anytime a limiting belief comes up, write it down, then replace/reframe it with a truth.
