Simple self-care.

Hi Friends,

Hope you’re all well. I’m looking forward to seeing you tomorrow night, February 1st, at The Grange, 6p-7:15p. We’ll work on boosting the immune system!


Unfortunately there are lots of people sick right now, yikes! What do you need to support a healthier you? 

Make sure you’re taking care of you in body, mind, and spirit. Here are some simple Self-Care tips : 


Take a comforting warm bath.

Add essential oils. Sesame oil is beneficial for all constitutions.

Eucalyptus is great for winter coughs and colds.

Peppermint relieves nasal congestion and fatigue.

If you don’t have time for a full tub, soak your feet with enough water to cover the ankles.


Drink hot tea, peppermint or chamomile.

If you’re congested, and clogged drink anise seed tea.

Crush a tablespoon of anise seeds on a wooden spoon, add 1 1/2 cups boiling water, allow it to steep for 5 minutes before drinking.


Be Positive

Negative thoughts contribute to ill health. Optimism boosts the immune system.

We all have gray days, especially in the winter. Make time to soothe yourself with comforting smells.

Dab a few drops of lavender, lemon, or bergamot essential oil on a cloth, and inhale when you need a boost.


Get out your crayons, or colored pencils and create some art.

I love to color my prayers, it’s an easy way to release what’s on my heart to the heavens without having to think too hard.

Doodle or draw without judgement, it’s fun, it’s play, it’s a break from reality.


Rest, call a friend, ask for prayer, pray for a friend, give thanks.



What do you need to support a healthier you?


Holy cow, it’s a new month, and there’s more light at the end of the day. The farther we get away from the motivation of the new year, the more important it is to be intentional about your dreams, desires, visions. Are they written down, have you shared them with a trusted friend? How can I help?
