How agile are you in body, mind, and spirit?
(able to move quickly and easily, well-coordinated, active, marked by an ability to think quickly, mentally acute or aware.)
I know that you've been through some ups and downs lately, and it's taken a toll. Sometimes the circumstances create a rigidity that overrides the big picture and our sense of what's true. Our sadness, doubt, fear, unworthiness, fill in the blank, can take over. I so understand I miss the mark with the best of them. It causes a sluggishness deep in our souls.
How we respond to this space, how we choose to press into God or attempt going it alone drives our actions. To be more agile, brisker in heart and spirit is a choice.
Align yourself with your core values, they reflect what matters most in your life. Can you name them, and do you live by them? Dr. Susan David asks, "Who do you want to show up as?" Her new book is titled Emotional Agility. It's not about ignoring the difficulties, but holding them loosely, facing them with courage and compassion to bring the best of yourself forward.
God says, "remember who you are and whose you are, My precious, beloved daughter, I love you no matter what."
Navigating life's challenges are not easy. We need our spiritual disciplines, a shift, or a fresh conversation with a trusted friend to encourage us. I want to show up as the best version of myself in all situations. When I don't, I need to receive His perfect grace so that I understand how to extend His perfect grace. XODenise
